Because we care for our neighbors as Jesus would, we serve. We serve inside the church, in our local Hanover community, and around the world. Here are a few of the ways you can help:
CHURCH MINISTRY
It takes a small army of servants to lead worship, teach classes, care for our properties, and keep our ministries growing. You are invited to serve here in countless ways.
LOCAL MINISTRY
We donate food to the New Hope food bank on Baltimore Street. We support the Changing Lives Homeless Shelter on Carlisle Street. We help provide a daily free lunch to our community at the Hanover Area Council of Churches. Servants from our congregation volunteer and serve all over town from Meals on Wheels, GED classes, Hanover Hospital, YWCA, Habitat for Humanity, as well as Peacemaking organizations like Mediation Services of Adams County. We also financially support Prison Ministries in both York and Adams counties, services for neighbors with special needs like HART Center, as well as host several addiction recovery groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon.
GLOBAL MINISTRY
Our Volunteers in Mission (VIM) Teams travel the United States to help clean up and rebuild after floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes. We commission teams to overseas missions as well to locations such as Haiti, Guatemala, and Tanzania, and refugee camps in Greece.
We are always on the lookout for a new need to meet and a new person we can help. Are you looking for a way to give back to your community? Join us, as together we care for our neighbors as Jesus would.
