Confirmation Part 1: Go! – Pushing Back Darkness with Jesus

Sundays, 9:15-10:15am, Mission House (previously known as ‘Youth House’), Hanover

Group Leader: Tommy Fitchett

Are you between 6 – 12 grade and looking into taking the next step in your faith? Are you interested in finding out why your life is epic on the scale of Star Wars, the Avengers, or Lord of the Rings? Please consider joining the confirmation class. Confirmation is about making a public declaration of your faith and becoming a full member of our church. If you are at all interested in confirmation, come check it out and ask some questions. The class will be divided into two parts this year. During this first session, from October – December, we will be exploring where we fit into the epic cosmic struggle between good and evil. We will also try to practically answer the question “What does Jesus want from a follower?” During the second portion of the class, from February – April, we will meet less frequently, but focus more on setting some practical challenges with our mentors around five critical areas or our Christian faith. We will plan on having the confirmation ceremony on May 15, 2016. We will need adults who feel called to help out as mentors, as well as some teens to help out as peer mentors.
